Das Katadyn Superdyn ist ein Zweistufen-Filterelement bestehend aus mikroporöser Keramik und einem Hochleistungs-Aktivkohleblock. Schwebstoffe und Bakterien werden ohne Einsatz von Chemikalien auf der Keramik-Oberfläche zurückgehalten. Der innere Aktivkohleblock adsorbiert nicht nur freies Chlor und andere organische Schadstoffe die für unangenehmen Geschmack und Geruch verantwortlich sind, sondern reduziert auch den Gehalt an Blei und anderen Schwermetallen. Durch die sehr große Innenoberfläche des Aktivkohleblocks kann das Filterelement 6 Monate lang verwendet werden. Der Keramikfilter wird durch lebensmittelechte Kunststoffkappen geschützt. Das in der Keramik fest verankerte Katadyn-Silber verhindert das Wachstum von Bakterien im Filter.
